L.V. DISTRIBUTION SWITCHBOARDS

LV distribution switchboards for energy distribution in industrial and service sector; they are usually equipped with molded case circuit breakers in fixed or plug-in version.

FOREWORD

  • The LPB - LMCC switchboards are realized by assembling standard prefabricated metallic sections in wich components can be accessed to from the front of the switchboard, thus allowing installation against a wall or in the center of the room; easy wiring from the front facilitated by wide cable-way.
  • Segregation: each cell is completely segregated from the others by metal barrier plates. Available segregation forms 2b - 4a
  • Modularity:each section is divided vertically into 10 equipment modulesand 2 modules (one low, one high) for auxiliaries.
  • Versatility: the same cells may be used both for circuit-breakers and motor starters; all the columns are designed to allow extension on both sides for main bus- bars and auxiliaries.
  • Personnel safety:all parts carrying dangerous voltages can only be accessed to after removal of metal barriers or isolation screens;with the doors open, the switchboard is protected to IP 20.
  • Structural elements
    The structural framework is constructed with sendzimir galvanized steel sheet, with a superior resistance to corrosion. The front and cover panels of the switchboard are degreased before being painted with electrostatic epoxy polyester powder.
  • Lifting eyebolts are provided on the top of the column to facilitate handling. The base is provided with cable inlets/outlets openings and floor fixing holes. It is possible to arrange the entrance of the incoming and outgoing feeders from the top and / or from the bottom of the switchboard.
  • Ventilation - A natural ventilation duct is provided for switch-gear and busbar ventilation. Ventilation loop-holes are provided in the front, on the barrier plates and roof to allow natural dissipation of heat.
  • Grounding system - The entire structure of the switchboard is connected to the ground by selfbonding nuts and bolts which ensure conductivity. A copper bar of suitable dimensions for the presumed fault current extends along the full length of the switchboard.

    Main horizontal bus-bars rated for 630 A - 1250 A - 2000 A - 2500 A. Secondary vertical bus-bars rated for 630 -1250 A The bus-bars are clamped by polyester resin insulators
